Emplifi
A Successful CMS Migration from Contentful to WordPress
Emplifi is a leading customer engagement platform. Their solution helps over 20,000 global brands deliver exceptional digital experiences across social media, commerce, and customer care. The Emplifi platform manages billions of customer interactions every month.
As part of a broader website redesign initiative, Emplifi set out to give their marketing team greater control over website management, eliminating bottlenecks and reducing reliance on developers. Their existing CMS, while technically powerful, limited the team’s agility and put a sizable dent in the website budget. Peaktwo was brought in to implement the new website design on a more flexible CMS, lead the content migration, and execute a comprehensive SEO mitigation plan.

Architecture Planning & User Journeys
To lay the foundation for a more effective user experience, we ran our Basecamp Discovery process to uncover key insights about their platform and customers’ buying journey. These findings informed a reimagined site architecture with specific user paths and solution-centric content hierarchy.
SEO & Content Audit
A comprehensive SEO and content audit followed to assess the value of every page and asset. This allowed us to identify high-performing content and develop a migration plan that preserved critical SEO elements, including metadata, image alt tags, and internal links, as we moved to the new CMS.
WordPress + ACF
We custom-built the website within the WordPress CMS using Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and modular page templates, giving Emplifi’s content team greater independence over editing, updating, and publishing new content post-launch.
Seamless Content Migration
With the new CMS in place, we executed a full content migration from Contentful to WordPress, carefully preserving internal linking structures and media assets. Custom scripts were then written to migrate existing SEO-critical elements – including titles, meta descriptions, and schema – into our new SEO tool, while a 301 mapping plan ensured not a drop of SEO goodness was lost.
